Tourists in Anchorage

On Saturday, Phil and Elsie took us to Anchorage for sightseeing.  He had spend more than 50 years in this area, mostly building houses.  We saw more of Wasilla, Eagle River and Anchorage before returning to Willow.  In Anchorage we saw the airport and the airport for sea planes.  They have thousands of small planes here. In fact, we see sea planes coming and going on the lake at Phil's.  We stopped for a seafood dinner on our way home.  They've been keeping us busy.

Today we tried to go to church this morning but got the time wrong and missed the service.  So then we got some work done around the motor home (washed it squeeky clean) and did more laundry.  We're going to have a moose steak dinner tonight.

The weather has continued to be cloudy to partly cloudy.  No McKinley sighting yet!  We're convinced that they either took the mountain down for cleaning, or it's just a big mural that they change every day.  Today started out cloudy again and is now clearing up again.

There is no internet connection at his place, and cell coverage comes and goes, so we drove to a Starbucks (in a Carrs/Safeway grocery store) in order to post this blog on Sunday afternoon.

We have to mention that today is Olivia's birthday.  Happy Birthday Girl.

And - Happy 4th of July to everyone!!  We'll post again when we can.
