Leaving Willow

Wednesday we left our wonderful camping site at Phil's place about noon.  We've enjoyed the beauty and quiet while visiting here.  Not to mention the great time we've had with Phil and Elsie; all the sight-seeing, visiting, and cribbage.  The six days we spent with them sure went fast.  The sky today was totally clear and we had a great siting of Mt. McKinley - finally!

After doing one last load of laundry, getting the motorhome packed up, having lunch, and, of course, a final game of cribbage, we hit the road for Anchorage.  It wasn't a long trip at all - 75 miles.  We're all settled in at a campground that's right by the downtown.

Tomorrow we have reservations on an excursion train to Seward from here.  We'll start early, 6 a.m., and have about 6 hours of free time in Seward then arriving back here at 10:15 p.m.  We are really excited to take this trip!
