Quiet Saturday

We had no schedule to meet, so we walked up the hill to the downtown area and wandered through their weekend Outdoor Market

We saw a lot of artsy/craftsy things, without buying any of them.

This afternoon we did errands and Bob replaced the bathroom faucet.  Still have maintenance tasks in the motorhome.  We stayed around the campground and grilled chicken for supper.

Since it was a really quiet day, we will take the time to describe one of the rigs parked here.

This custom-built conversion is used by a European tour group to combine sightseeing (in the bus-type portion) with on-board sleeping (in the rear).  They came into this campground on our first night here and took up 3 sites.  About 24 passengers came out and got their bags from below the coach section while the driver opened the rear section.  Although this can't be seen from this side, a platform folded out and was surrounded by canvas.  Before it was enclosed, we saw 26 sleeping cots (where each of the small windows are) that were stacked up like pigeon-holes.  Not the way we'd like to travel, but to each their own.

Since we have such little room in this campground, we're going to pick up and move tomorrow.  We'll head down to the Portage Glacier/Whittier area for a few nights before going to Soldotna.  Sounds like the weather is going to continue to be cloudy and in the low 60's.
